I found out over
the weekend that Hannah Luce, the daughter of founders, Ron and Katie Luce, was
involved in a small plane crash on Friday.
She was flying to an Acquire the Fire event with four others when their
plane went down in Kansas. Three of the
young men on board did not survive the crash.
Hannah and Austin, had severe injuries, but were able to make it to a
road to flag down help. They were
airlifted to separate hospitals. Sadly,
Austin passed away early Saturday morning as a result of his injuries. Hannah has third degree burns over 28% of her
body, but they have recently been able to take her off of her ventilator and
are now discussing skin grafts. Please
be in prayer for Hannah. She has a long
road of recovery ahead of her, but God is faithful and I know that He is
everything to her. Please also pray for
the families of the young men (Austin, Stephen, Luke and Garrett) who have gone
to be with Jesus. These were exceptional
guys with hearts for the Lord and for serving others, and the loss of such
wonderful young men is profoundly felt by all of us in the Teen Mania family. Please also pray for the Luce family (Ron,
Katie, Charity and Cameron) as they go through this with Hannah and make
decisions about what is best for her.
They are an incredible family who honors and serves the Lord in all
they do. I had the privilege of knowing
them personally and spending time in their home during my year at the Honor
Academy, so I saw their commitment to the Lord firsthand. I know they trust the Lord to see them
